About Valley Mold Testing

Meet Dell Vance, Certified Mold Specialist

Hello, my name is Dell Vance, founder of Valley Mold Testing.

Since 2009, I have worked in the water-damage restoration and mold-mitigation industry, helping property owners respond to leaks, flooding, moisture intrusion, and mold-related concerns. During that time, I saw firsthand how quickly an unnoticed moisture problem could develop into a much larger issue for a home, business, or rental property.

I also saw how stressful mold concerns can be for the people living or working inside a property. Homeowners often know that something does not feel right, but they may not know where the problem is coming from or what steps to take next.

That experience ultimately led me to create Valley Mold Testing, a company focused specifically on professional mold inspections, mold testing, moisture detection, indoor air quality testing, and laboratory sample collection throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Why I Founded Valley Mold Testing

My years in restoration taught me that mold problems are often easier and less expensive to address when they are discovered early.

Unfortunately, hidden mold does not always appear as an obvious dark spot on a wall. It may develop behind drywall, beneath flooring, around plumbing fixtures, inside cabinets, near HVAC systems, or in areas affected by an older water leak.

Some property owners first become concerned after noticing:

  • Musty or unusual odors
  • Past or recent water damage
  • Discoloration on walls or ceilings
  • Persistent indoor humidity
  • Recurring plumbing leaks
  • Allergy-like or respiratory irritation that seems worse indoors
  • Unexplained discomfort while spending time inside the property

These signs do not automatically prove that mold is present. However, they may be a reason to schedule a professional inspection and testing so you can make decisions based on evidence rather than guesswork.

Our Commitment to Every Customer

At Valley Mold Testing, we believe every homeowner deserves honest answers—not scare tactics.

Our goal is simple: provide accurate mold testing, thorough inspections, and laboratory-certified results so you can make informed decisions about your property. Whether we find elevated mold levels or everything checks out normally, you’ll receive the same honest, unbiased service every time.

We take pride in treating every property as if it were our own and every customer with the professionalism and respect they deserve.

A Focus on Independent Mold Testing

Valley Mold Testing is dedicated to identifying potential mold and moisture concerns through careful inspection, professional testing equipment, and laboratory analysis.

Our role is to help you understand what may be happening inside your property.

Depending on the situation, an inspection may include:

  • Visual examination of accessible areas
  • Moisture detection
  • Evaluation of areas affected by water intrusion
  • Indoor and outdoor air sampling
  • Surface sample collection
  • Laboratory analysis
  • Clear explanations of the findings
  • Recommendations for appropriate next steps

We believe property owners deserve honest information without fear-based sales tactics or unnecessary pressure.

Professional Training and Certifications

Advanced Mold Inspection Training

Dell Vance successfully completed the Advanced Mold Inspection Training Course through the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. The certificate reflects 42 credit hours and was issued May 20, 2026.

This advanced training supports a more thorough understanding of mold inspection practices, moisture-related conditions, sampling considerations, and the evaluation of properties with suspected mold concerns.

IICRC Water Damage Restoration Certification

Dell is also an IICRC registrant in good standing and is certified in Water Damage Restoration. His current IICRC registration certificate lists registration number 138583 and an expiration date of August 31, 2026.

That restoration background is especially valuable during mold inspections because mold growth is frequently connected to leaks, flooding, plumbing failures, roof damage, appliance leaks, or other sources of unwanted moisture.

Experience That Goes Beyond Taking Samples

Mold testing should involve more than placing an air cassette in a room and waiting for a laboratory report.

Dell’s background in water-damage restoration helps him evaluate the conditions that may have contributed to the concern in the first place. That includes understanding how water moves through building materials, where moisture may remain hidden, and which areas deserve closer attention during an inspection.

This combination of restoration experience, mold-inspection training, moisture detection, and laboratory testing allows Valley Mold Testing to provide a more complete evaluation of the property.
